Balakot:The Main Gateway to Kaghan Valley

The valley of Balakot, no need to explore itsbeauty it posses its beauty on its own. This valley is the valley of martyrdoms. to end the peace of this valley Syed Ahmed Shaheed and Hazrat Syed Ismail Shaheed and all of his followers sacrifice are the sign to its valley in the whole world. He gives the light to this valley by his blood. His shrine is located in Balakot. People used to give him the tribute on his shrine.

This beautiful valley is situated at 3226 feet above the sea level. By the tourist point of view this valley is the door of Kaghan Valley and as well as the centre of education, culture and tradition. You can imagine about the strength of the people here that in the earth Quake of October 2005 this small valley was completely destroyed, but you can see it now again in the form of lively and glad Balakot.In the night when the lights are on it exhibits like the blue sky full of stars kissing the earth. you can view the upcoming giant waves of the River Kunhaar through the balcony of the hotel. In the moon night these beautiful

The beautiful village Balakot has eventually open for the tourist for the whole year. April to October is the best
period to visit here. No body specially visits here, but because of Kaghan Valley people pass through here.

You can get Balakot is 188 km away from Islamabad and 72 km from Abbotabad. To reach Balakot the bus form
Mansehra and Garhi Habib ullah.

Balakot is a beautiful village which also possess the facility of motels which rates up to 500-600 till 2000.

Further from Balakot to Sast Bani you can go through by walk or by jeep.
