Bazaar and Shopping

Main Bazars - (Chitral):

The main bazaar in Chitral is hat bazaar. Like many markets round the world, merchants of one type cluster together. It was really tickled to see because the people in Chitral walking in bazaar are not carrying hats, but nan chapatis -- hot bread -- of the exact size and shape as the traditional tribal hat.

Kalash Valley Bazar:

Kalash Valley itself has not a big bazar only few shops are there but mostly handicrafts are sold at their homes.

What To Buy?

Local handicrafts include embroidered linen, hand-woven rugs and shawals, silverware, tribal jewellery and carved wood work.
